Location:
Hoover High School - 5550 N. First St. Fresno, CA 93710 - Map. Stadium field is Field #1 and adjacent soccer field is Field #2.
Entry Fee:
$500 per team. We want to keep the event as inexpensive as possible to get teams to Fresno to compete.
A $150, non-refundable deposit per team is needed to secure a spot in the tournament. Please submit your deposit by February 5th 2011.
You can make checks out and mail your $150 deposit to: Central California Lacrosse Club - 2336 S. Bush Ave. Fresno, CA 93727
Goal:
The Fresno Lacrosse Festival intends on being a pre-season tournament for men's club teams to prepare for their upcoming season. We also intend to introduce the sport of lacrosse in the Fresno area, where few organized programs exist.
Saturday Night Party:
March 5th at 6:30PM at Sequoia Brewery - 777 E. Olive Ave. Fresno, CA 93728 - Map. We will have the room on the right as you enter reserved. Always a great time to hang out with all the teams. No-host drinks and food.
Event will be round-robin format followed by consolation and championship games. This will give 4 games guaranteed for each team against 4 different opponents. Games will be 30 minute running halves, one timeout per half. Club (international) rules will be enforced by the field officials. Five (5) long poles maximum on the field.
Seedings for the Sunday 12PM and 1:30PM matches will depend on best record in each bracket. If two teams are tied, the winner of the head to head competition will advance to the higher ranking game. If 3 teams are tied, the best goal differential will be the tiebreaker.
Disrespectful behavior toward the field officials or tournament directors will not be tolerated and may result in forfeiture of games or disqualification of the tournament.
Please contact Club President Todd Johnson if your club team is interested in participating or if you would like any additional information: fresnolacrosse@gmail.com or (559) 388-4428.
