Club History - 1990's

1996 - the club was started as the "Central Valley Lacrosse Club", it was started by three transplanted lacrosse players (Mark, Matt, and Bob) who wanted to get a men's club going in Fresno.

1997 - the club had about 20 players (mostly new to the sport), we played only amongst ourselves and created a small box league consisting of 4: 5 on 5 teams with the help of Clovis Recreation Department.

Also one of the founders, Mark Zimmerman ran youth leagues through US Lacrosse.

1998 - the club reached a peak of 32 members. We changed our name to the Fresno "Swarm" and played our first games against other teams: Cal Poly and Bonliare (Now known as Streets of London LC).
